WHAT TO EXPECT FROM YOUR CARDIOLOGY FOLLOW-UP APPOINTMENT
During your cardiology follow-up appointment the clinician will discuss the results of any recent investigations once they are available or in some cases to review your symptoms.
This appointment may result in further investigations or you may be discharged back to your GP if no specific treatments are required but the clinician will advise this accordingly during your appointment.

Telephone Follow-Up Appointment:

-
You will receive a telephone call from one of our clinicians at approximately the time of your appointment.

-
Please note that the number may come up as 0161 749 4755 or it may appear as a private number.

-
Please note that although a telephone appointment has been allocated to you, we will try to accommodate your request if you wish to speak to a clinician face-to-face.

Face-To-Face Follow-Up Appointment:

-
You will be seen in one of our clinics, usually at the same location as your original appointment, for your follow-up cardiology assessment which will last for approximately 20 minutes.

-
If you are late to your appointment, we have a 10-minute policy where we will accommodate as best as we can, but you may be asked to wait until someone is available.

-
If you are more than 10 minutes late, unfortunately, we will have to re-book your appointment. Please contact us if there are any issues.

-
Please do not worry if you have been offered a face-to-face appointment, some of our clinicians prefer to speak to their patient's face-to-face but we will try to accommodate you if you request to be followed up via telephone instead.
